The Qualities of a Really Good Animation Instructor
Really good teachers are rare. Too often, a really good teacher will not teach, because the organization and its structure is not conducive to good quality training. There is an old saying that those who can not perform the work, ultimately to be teachers. In fact, it could be vice versa. Why should anyone put themselves in a situation where they may be subject to criticism and vulnerable to scandal, and sometimes even justify themselves with the parents of their pupils? This leaves a real gap training for students. If students can not find a good teacher or mentor, they must try to learn on their own.

Powers, portfolios and awards: I think if a person wants to teach at the college animation, they must have some sort of accreditation or certification. That being said, the recognition may come in other forms, such as briefcases or awards. In my opinion, the instructor must have a combination of two of these three things. I graduated from Sheridan College International Program classical animation so I think that if a teacher has passed the academic system, they are more likely to know how to get students in the system. Briefcases instructors display the amount of work and can give students an idea of what they should include in their portfolios. Awards are good but they do not pay the rent. Festival attendance and participation should be viewed as a marketing strategy and awards should be regarded simply as a by-product or bonus. Often, they are lucky, depending on a number of other articles and that the judges felt that week. However, much work hits a chord with most people and usually is not awarded him.
Technical skills: This goes back to the portfolio or with a body of work. The student must take account of the quality of teachers. The instructor must have a mastery of most skills needed for the production of animation. Sometimes the teacher will have a specialty in several areas. The student should learn everything they can from these specialists. This can help students decide which area they want to do.
Experience: There are many kinds of experience. I believe that if the instructor has experience in several positions in the animation business, they can help guide the student to the field of business that feeds the passion of the student. The experience of teachers also can help students avoid some mistakes and entertainment industry predators.
